Be Optimistic

We might have heard this sentence many times in our life. But what does being an optimist means? Does it means to see everything even evils positively? Optimism actually means to see the positive side of life not of problems.
As every picture is dual sided, so the picture of life also has two sides. If at one side we are facing troubles and miseries, there is surely happiness and smiles on the other side. But we are always so busy in making grief on our sorrows that we do not even see happiness approaching us. Negativity may appear to be a great defense mechanism. If you keep your expectations low enough, you won't be crushed when things don't work out.
Optimists look for the light at the end of the tunnel. If you serve up a smile to people, they usually bounce it back. Research shows that facial expressions and the moods that accompany them are communicable, probably because they evolved as a means of nonverbal communication between people.

When we get into misery, we moan and grief on it for so long, closing the doors of mind and heart that we did not hear happiness knocking at our door. We forget that life is like a rotating wheel. At one instant a point is up and at other instant it is down. But it does not means that point once gone down will never come up. Surely, at its time, that lower point will once again be on the upper side because it is the rule of rotation.
Ups and downs, the movement goes on. Same is the rule of life. Life is continuously moving, it means that it has continuous ups and downs. Like at one instant you are happy. You are successful. But at any other instant you are caught by troubles and miseries or you don not achieve success. But it does not means that happiness and success will never come to you again.

Definitely if you will wait with patience and work with all your efforts, success and happiness both will come to you again because it is the way of life. Happiness/sorrow and the journey goes on. Understand that the past does not equal the future.
Just because you've experienced pain or disappointment in the past it does not mean that what starts badly will end badly. Do not make a bat start turn into a self fulfilling prediction for a bad ending. But unfortunately, we have become so used to of complaining about out troubles and problems that we have forgotten to see the positive side. Like you can say that we only see the glass is half empty but we do not notice that it is half filled too. Use positive affirmations.

Write down short statements that remind you of what you're trying to change about the way you see the world. Put them in places where you'll see them everyday, such as on your bathroom mirror, the inside of your locker, on your computer monitor, and even taped to your shower wall. I mean readers! We only see on the negative side of life and we even do not bother to look at many of the positive things lying around. We never realize that though we are facing miseries yet our life has little happiness too. But we never understand it. Just like the person who complains about his bare feet but he never thanks ALLAH that he is only without shoes, not without feet. Positive thinking means trying to see the full range of possibilities and making the conscious decision to pursue the best possible choices available. It's really that simple. At its heart, optimism is the knowledge that we are not helpless.

So friends, if today we will start seeing the positive side of life ignoring the difficulties and troubles, am sure our life would become very easy. So before complaining of dark night we should remember that every dark night has a bright morning and ultimately light will shine scattering everywhere and making everything bright. But all we need is to think about a bright morning ahead and not about the dark night we are facing.
